Oh baby!! What’s a better way to celebrate a new life coming into the world, then by having a cake. This was my first baby shower cake, and I was very pleased with it.
For this cake we wanted something that was pretty and simple. The colors that were chosen were pink and green. What we decided to do was a confetti cake covered in delicious buttercream frosting. Then I made pink daisies out of gum paste and added edible glitter to them. By doing this to the flowers it added texture and gave the flowers more depth. Then I placed the flowers on the cake with royal icing. I added a sheer ribbon around the cake where the tiers met. I then took the same ribbon and made a bow with it and placed it on top of the cake. It was perfect for a baby girl’s shower.
