What To Do?

Decisions, decisions! When you are planning a wedding there are a lot of things that you have to plan.  You have to get a dress, a tux, a place, food, your cake, flowers and a lot more.  Everyone wants their wedding to stand out. They want people to walk away and say, “Wow, that was a really great wedding!”  So, how do we do this? Do we pick outrageous colors? Serve something that no one else has thought of? Well, for this particular bride and groom they decided they wanted cupcakes served at their wedding, but they still wanted a traditional cake to cut into.  They decided to have a one tier cake that would be set on a pedestal higher than anything else and then have cupcakes all around the cake.
Their cake was definitely one that stood out.  It was covered in fondant then purple ribbon placed along the middle of the cake.  I took coral buttercream frosting and make a swirly line across the cake and two curved lines in the corner.  For the top of the cake, we placed two silver hearts that were joined together.  We placed a silver R in front of the hearts. The cake was perfect for the occasion, and accomplished exactly what it was supposed to.
